I needed a database. Supabase gave me Postgres, Auth, and Storage in one click. But the AI SQL Editor is the star. I typed 'Create a table for user profiles with avatars', and it wrote the perfect SQL migration.
Best Feature: Vector Embeddings
They have native support for vector search (pgvector). Building a RAG app on Supabase is trivially easy compared to other providers.
The Verdict
The open source Firebase alternative. It's the best backend for AI wrappers.
